It would be ideal for there to be an option when posting a playlist for multiple assignments to be posted as individual assignments or as one group on Google Classroom.
For assignments like Lesson Quizzes, individual assignments would mean fewer buttons to click to post multiple lesson quizzes in a topic to all classes.
For assignments like examples & try its, one group assignment would be ideal because those types of assignments don't score a student's work anyways and will bog down Google Classroom with 20-30 posts just to make the examples available to students who are absent in class.
The most recent update has all assignments being posted individually so I am no longer using certain aspects of Realize. Making this feature an option while posting would help every teacher and their unique experience.
Thank you for the feedback on this recent change. Savvas strives to provide an excellent customer experience, and as a result of your feedback, we've reverted back to the previous assignment functionality. When we revisit this area for updates in the future, we'll make sure to keep the key features that maintain critical functionality.
Proposed Solution:
Clear List View: Display individual assignments in a numbered list format to enhance visibility and clarity.
Progress Indicator: Include a progress indicator (e.g., 1/3, 2/3, 3/3) next to each assignment to help students track their progress within the playlist.
Prominent "Turn In" Button: Position a highly visible "Turn In" button at the end of the assignment list to encourage timely submission of all completed assignments.
Visual Cues: Utilize visual cues such as progress bars or checklists to provide a more intuitive overview of assignment completion status.
Grading Preferences:
Single Grade for Playlist: I prefer assigning a single grade for a playlist of activities to facilitate holistic assessment and streamline the grading process.
Individual Grading Option: The ability to assign individual grades for specific activities should remain available for flexibility.
By implementing these changes, we can significantly improve the student experience, increase assignment completion rates, and simplify the grading process for both students and teachers.
This new update is horrible for both students and teachers. Please change back ASAP!
The inability to post assignments as a group is absolutely TERRIBLE! Students cannot even see which lesson number the videos belong to. The lessons are cluttering up the page. Please revert back to the previous way of grouping assignments.
This new feature is awful. Savvas and Google Classroom have become a cluttered mess. Please revert back to the previous way of grouping assignments.
