Lock assessment to prevent students from going to another window or tab (cheating)

They need to be able to lock a quiz/assessment to prevent students from going to another browser (cheating).

Also with in this, option to add tools for students to use within the quiz. Even making Savvas into an app would make this possible because I could lock my students into an app as long as I could give a virtual calculator to some students

Yes, please! We recreate assessments in Pear Deck Assessment so we can lock students out of other tasks.

Lock assessment. Otherwise, scores may not reflect an accurate account of true student knowledge.

I love this program (enVision Algebra I); it is so complete. But, as of this year I have had to recreate all quizzes and tests in Google Forms because of the cheating.

This should be a feature! There are direct questions and answers online and students can open tabs and search for the answer. A locked option, like on Google Forms, will help stop students from looking up answers. Also, teachers will transfer tests and quizzes to a Google Form and run the risk of sharing materials.

Between not having this option, kids being VERY tech savvy, AND now the watches, my 5th graders have figured out how to cheat.

I know this is a future consideration, but it seems like this should be an obvious feature. Maybe move this to a priority consideration?

The ability to password an assignment (test/quiz) would make this easier. Password given in class and needed to access the assessment.

Add a lockdown browser so we can prevent students from accessing other parts of the internet when they are working on an assignment in the student edition or taking tests.

Teachers should be able to use the lockdown browser or not for any assignment they create.

Lock-down browser for Assessments

Merged
A lock-down browser for assessments would help out. That way students can't google answers or cheat. Allowing them to us desmos would be nice too

Prevent students from accessing other websites while taking assessments

Some students look up quiz questions online in a separate tab. A Chromebook kiosk application that would limit students to only using Savvas SSO login would help.

Admin is looking for a lockdown browser or an online proctor she could use for the high school student's test so that they are unable to cheat or search for the answers.

Would make it harder for students to cheat or look for answers

Do not allow students to open an assignment on another tab or device once the assignment is already opened.

Students are masters of cheating. They cheat on Realize all the time by opening their assignment twice (either on a new tab or another device). They enter wrong answers on one tab and/or device to find out the correct answer and then go to the oth...

Locked Mode option when teachers assign a task to students.

Students should not be able to access a different tab or browser while taking a quiz or the test.

Merged
Students are able to access a different browser or tab while taking a quiz or test. Sadly, this makes it easy for them to search for the answers. So, it doesn't accurately test their knowledge if they use outside support.
