All assignments, quizzes, and tests need to have the option to have them read to students

I have noticed in particular that when I assign adaptive practice to my students not all the problems can be read to the students. All assignments, tests, and quizzes need to have the option to have the problems and answers read to the students. All public-school teachers will typically have the option for read-alouds for their special education students, so this will benefit all teachers and save them time. I have been having to take up time to read the problem to a select number of students which takes away my time from helping other students and delivering instruction. I like the idea that you would place a radio button so that we could turn on and off reading of the problems to the students. That way teachers could go into each students' settings and turn it off for our regular ed students and turn it on for our special education students who have this in their IEP. This would be the most beneficial for all teachers and students, but if you cannot do this, then for sure allow the program to read ALL problems for the students. Thanks.

I am a 5th and 6th grade science teacher in a lower socioeconomic district. All of the material in the Savvas Realize Elevate series for the 5th grade has the text to speech option including the quizzes. The Course 1 Elevate series for 6th grade does not offer that feature for the quizzes. One of the main reasons we updated our science curriculum is to have access to those types of features. This is something that definitely needs address in a timely manner.

I agree with Alicia Clevenger. Students who have Read Aloud in IEP/ILP should have access to audio, but not all students need the audio or will benefit from audio. Having the option to turn off or on based on the individual learning needs of students, will benefit ALL students. The online assessments will also simulate state assessments with the audio option.

Teachers also need the capability of turning off the reading audio for reading comprehension to simulate state assessments (IREAD 3 in IN for grades 2 and 3).

All of my students have text to speech accommodations but that isn't available with this resource.

Assessment, needs to have read aloud for accommodations

Merged
When the students take the unit assessments, they need to have the text-to-speech accommodations available (only the questions and answers, no passages).

When the test is read to them they use the word "what" when there is a missing word. It would be better if it said "blank" for the missing word.

When the test is being read to them, the reader uses the word "what" when there is blank that needs to be filled in. It would be much better if they use the word "blank" for the missing word.

I would like the read aloud option to be taken off.

Teachers should be able to turn it on for students who have the accommodation. In third grade and higher, the state test does not read math problems aloud to the students. Only students with a read aloud accommodation have that option turned on. S...

Add read aloud and audio options to all components in enVision K-12 including MathXL Practice buddy and the interactive student addition.

Some of the components of enVision have audio and read aloud, but our students need it for all including Math XL, Practice Buddy, Student Interactive notebook, assessments and so on.

Male AND Female audio voices for Hearing Impaired Students

Merged
Hearing Impaired students frequently hear male or female voices better than just hearing all male voices. This is due to what kind of hearing loss and at what decibel level and frequency loss the individual has.

"text-to-speech" is not working with several of their eText. An example is "Environmental Science". Looking for an enhancement request to allow this with all books.

Questions and Answer Choices

For first grade, all questions and answer choices for quizzes and tests need to be read to the students. At this point, all I have seen is the directions are read to them.
