Grade Passback Integration Character Limit

Both our LMS' Canvas and Infinite Campus Grade Pass Back doesn't work unless the titles are 30 characters or less for assignments. We have to rename every assignment in order to integrate it with our grade book.

    The assignment title character limit you’re encountering is not imposed by Savvas Realize. When Realize sends an assignment name to Canvas, Canvas then passes that information to the district’s SIS (Infinite Campus). The 30-character restriction is coming from the Canvas ↔ Infinite Campus grade passback configuration, which is managed at the district level.

    We recommend connecting with your district’s IT/SIS team—they can adjust the field-length settings in Infinite Campus or work with their SIS support to increase the limit. Once that configuration is updated, longer Realize assignment names will pass through without needing to be manually shortened.

    We’re happy to provide any clarification your tech team needs, but there is no limitation on the Realize side that prevents longer titles.
