Assign an automatic zero for assignments that are past due.

If a student does not submit an assignment by the due date, an automatic grade of 0 is assigned. This would help with grade passback for LTI-A integrations and eliminate the need for teachers to go into the gradebook to assign a grade of zero for assignments that are not submitted on time and/or not submitted at all.

    Teachers can still provide a 0 score for students who don't submit in time (past due date). Many teachers prefer to keep assignments active to allow for students to submit, even if they are late. Hence, at the moment, we will not be able to specifically implement this, but appreciate your reaching out!

    Allow the teacher the flexibility to set a value to assign automatically for past due assignments. I really like the idea of this feature, and I think having the option to choose what value to assign is of greater value.
