Can you let teachers change scores in assessments besides essay questions? Merged

When I am grading assessments, the questions that are not essays are locked. I can't change the score. If I have worked with a student and want to give them credit quickly, it will not allow it. I have to add more points to the essay questions so they can get the credit.
