I wanted to share some feedback about myPerspectives that has been a real challenge in our classrooms. Right now there’s no way for teachers to unsubmit work (NOT assessments) back to students once it’s been turned in. This makes it hard for students to go back, fix mistakes, and resubmit, which is such an important part of the learning process. Here’s why this really needs to be fixed:
Students need the chance to revise and show growth. Without that option, they miss out on meaningful practice.
For students with IEPs and 504s, being able to make multiple attempts is often part of their accommodations, and the system doesn’t support that right now.
Teachers should be able to return work when it’s incomplete, off track, or even blank. As it stands, the only workaround is creating a brand new assignment, which just creates extra confusion.
Other platforms, like Google Classroom, already have this feature, and it makes grading and feedback a lot more effective.
Having the option to unsubmit would make myPerspectives much easier to use and, more importantly, would better support students. I really hope this is something that can be added soon. Thank you for listening to teacher feedback.
