Save student progress and log them out even if they do not click "log out" at the end of session (SuccessMaker)

(SuccessMaker Math) Currently, in order for time spent to be correctly included in a student reports, students need to go back to the homepage when their finished working, then click "log out". This has been a struggle for all students since they're so used to other programs automatically saving and logging out when the exit the app. It's been especially challenging for primary grades. When students go to start their next SuccessMaker session, they then need to select to end their previous session. This process has become a frustration for teachers because they are looking to track student usage throughout each week, and if any student did not properly log out of a session, their usage data is inaccurate for a specific date range.

Teachers are looking for SuccessMaker Math to save progress and usage time and log students out every time they close the window, without them having to go back to the homepage and properly log out.

    Hi Jennifer,

Most of this functionality has since been implemented in SuccessMaker. If a student's session times out, the session end time will be correctly recorded. If a student "improperly" ends their session, including closing their chromebook/turning off their iPad without closing the browser tab with SM running, the session end time will be correctly recorded upon beginning their next session. We recognize this is not a perfect solution, but due to technical limitations, this is the closest that we will be able to get to solving the issue.

    Thanks,
