We use Successmaker for our BOY, MOY, and EOY math data. We use Ipads. In order for the student to input actual numbers, they have to:
Tap the box for the number.
Find the number/symbol icon on the pop up keyboard.
Find the numbers.
Find and push the keyboard down icon.
Then, hit the submit button in order to go on.
It is WAY too much for kindergartners to comprehend. With there being several questions that require these steps, it is very frustrating for Teachers. Also, I feel that your questions are not reasonable for this age level. It almost feels as though whoever is planning and developing the software criteria for Kindergarten had NEVER set foot in a Kindergarten classroom. Even my higher level learners are frustrated and cry when we use your program. Please consider more bright colors and reasonable questions. Also, why not have a calculator pop up when you touch the box for numbers. There also should not be toush and listen to the answers in order to pick an answer. It is so confusing. I would love to help with developing a more 5 year old friendly edition for the assessments.
