I am teaching Environmental Science again this year at Seton and I was hoping you may be able to help with some of my ideas/requests for this coming year's e-text capabilities.
Note; I also taught biology, using your bio text, this past year and found it to be much more developed on the e-text side than the EnviSci text.
Some features that were available in the Bio text side that I was not able to find on the EnviSci side;
- Assignable lesson Reviews and Interactivities: Huge! It was pretty much one-click to assign the chapter segment reviews and chapter-end quizzes into Canvas for the students.- Some were auto-graded and some not. This was a nice feature.- There were fixed AND editable quizzes for each chapter available, as well.
- The lesson PowerPoints were also much more developed in the Bio book. There were guide notes, and more pertinent information for the lesson material presented to the class on each slide. - It would also be nice to have more visual examples of lesson material presented on the relevant slide. -I have added quite a bit of my own 'Clickable' info to many of the slides, but more of the visuals that are in the book being on the slides would be nice. - The book images are copy- proof protected and I am not able to cut and paste them in.
It would be great if some, or all of these features were available for the up-coming year.
