Realize Integration and Support for Grade Passback Features and Functionality to include MS Teams and PowerSchool LMS platforms.

Please consider adding MS Teams and PowerSchool as an option for the Grade Passback feature. Not all schools use Schoology or Blackboard. We are a Microsoft District and do not have any access to Schoology or Google as far as an LMS (Learning Management System). MS Teams is our interface for our LMS. We were told there were no future plans to add MS Teams, but that we could submit the request to Savvas for review.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your request for grade passback support with Microsoft Teams and PowerSchool. We understand that many districts—especially Microsoft Districts—use Teams as their primary teaching interface, and we appreciate how valuable a streamlined workflow would be for your teachers and students.

At this time, Microsoft Teams does not support the 1EdTech LTI standards that Savvas Realize uses to integrate with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Schoology, Buzz and Brightspace. We’ve had multiple conversations with Microsoft about this, and they’ve shared that they are currently unable to implement LTI support within Teams.

Because of this limitation, Savvas Realize cannot connect to Teams using the same secure, standards-based method that all other LMSs use. A custom, one-off integration would require a significant engineering investment, and currently only a small number of districts that would use it.

That said, we always want to hear directly from educators, and your feedback has been logged for ongoing review as we assess future roadmap possibilities. If Microsoft adds support for LTI in the future, we would be able to revisit this integration path.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your needs with us—your input helps guide our priorities, and we want to support your district as effectively as possible.
