It is essential that administrators and coaches have the same access to clear, actionable data that our teachers do. Currently, the time required to download an Excel file, build pivot tables, and create graphs is prohibitive. Teachers already have access to student, class, and school-level data with full-color bands that make patterns easy to see. By contrast, building and district leaders are forced to sort raw spreadsheets with no averages, no color coding, and no readability—making it nearly impossible to use data efficiently for professional learning and decision-making.
For example, to view BOY results for a single middle school, an administrator must:
Navigate through multiple menus (reports → myP for 6, 7, 8 → school → assessment).
Expand the school name, then expand more than 50 classes individually.
Within each class, expand the program, then expand the assessment—repeating this process for every single class.
Alternatively, an admin can request a report by email—but even then they must:
Unlock the message.
Retrieve a “Verify for Virtru” email (often from spam).
Click “verify me.”
Finally, open a spreadsheet with 9,000+ cells of raw, black-and-white data.
If teachers can access user-friendly, color-coded reports that save them hours of work, building and district leaders should have the same. Readable, accessible data is not just a convenience—it’s essential for informed leadership and effective professional development.
