Missing Functions and Systems of Equations in 7th Grade Accelerated

Please find a way to incorporate functions and systems of equations into the 7th grade accelerated curriculum. Currently, teachers will have to supplement from the 8th grade curriculum to expose them to these important topics before they move into algebra 1.
