Realize logs me out after being idle for a few minutes. I would then have to log back in and go through soooo many clicks to get back to where I need to be.
Currently, as of writing this message in October 2025, it continues to log me out with about 30 mins of inactivity. I can explain an assignment in one period, leave it on the board for them to see and the next class I have to log in and go back to the assignment all over again. The time is significantly less than 120 minutes.
Furthermore, I am intrigued as to what security concerns this could be for. Hardly any student records are stored in SAVVAS, only a handful of questions and answers that one must still log in to view at all. If Amazon or any online webstore that keeps credit card information and addresses can remember me and what I was doing and still manages to keep that info secure then I don't understand how/why this is impossible for SAVVAS. It is clearly not a technical limitation, as the aforementioned examples prove, it is a security procedure choice that has been made somewhere.
The Realize system is set to time users out after 120 minutes of inactivity. In May 2025, we corrected a few bugs that in some cases were leading to this time-out happening much sooner than 120 mins. In addition, our team implemented a faster workflow for logging back into Realize if and when your session times out. With the new functionality, you should only need to login to the first tab that was logged out, and all other Realize tabs will require just one click to restore.
That said, we are in discussions to build a capability for school districts to extend the 120 minute inactivity counter to a longer duration if they are willing to accept the potential security/privacy issues that can arise from shared devices.
I got an email saying that this feature should work now. It does not "remember" for me still.
Try logging out of your Easy Bridge tab (if that is how you access Realize). This should help.
PLEASE
I was just searching under settings to see if I could opt out of this automatic log out feature. It is frustrating when we switch classes and I want to begin my lesson (all of the tabs were open and ready to go) are now not working because I have been logged out. It eats away at instruction time.
This should be an easy fix. PLEASE make this a top priority:)
Getting logged out is VERY frustrating. This needs to be changed ASAP
Yes, the logging out is VERY ridiculous all the time. Also, it would be great if the online version had page numbers so I don't have to keep saying find this heading or click next 5 times (very complex for many)!!
This is a big issue this year, more so than previous years. This doesn't help with click path as it makes for double the work and a huge loss of time.
Requesting that you make this a top priority. As stated below, so much instructional gets lost due to this issue. Very frustrating. Thank you for your time and attention to our concern.
Any updates on this feature being built in? It's suuuuuuuper frustrating to be looged out. Lose instructional time as well as impossible for subs to find it!
It's also frustrating to have all your tabs set up for your classes (double when you teach the accelerated course) and then find out that none of them are ready when you begin to teach because you have been logged out. It is a waste of instructional time to have to log back in while the students are watching and click multiple times and try to remember what you had set up in the first place.
I'm glad that it's being looked into. It's pretty frustrating when I'm in the middle of customizing a MathXL and it logs me out when I look into my teacher's edition for 20-30 seconds. If this could be pushed out to 10 min or more of inactivity that would be so much more helpful.
Same for the students also. I will have assignments turned in with no answers and the only thing I can think of is that the student took too long to do the activity. Of course, it's always the activities that I can't return to the student!
Additionally, please consider streamlining the sign-in process.
This is a feature we are actively reviewing and looking into building. Thanks for the feedback!
