Provide more practice is in the guided practice so the independent practice can be reflective of independent work.

I teach first grade and often find that there is not enough practice in the guided practice section. Sometimes that practice looks completely different than what students are asked to do in the independent practice section, which makes the independent practice need even more instruction and practice. 2 problems in the guided practice (which is often all that is there) and 1-2 problems modeled in the visual learning videos does not provide near enough practice and opportunity for me to model with the students.
