For this piece, the way that the activity is formatted makes it challenging to see all of the places where students are asked to write a response. For example, it is not clear at first glance that some answers are written in the lab activity, where others are in the Lab Notebook. Because the student laptops are relatively small, there is a lot of scrolling required to find the text boxes.
It would be very helpful for the teacher support documents to indicate a) that the auto-grade is based solely on completion, b) the number of entries expected per student assignment, and c) where each student entry can be found within the activity. This would provide teachers the opportunity to better determine whether the activity meets their needs as is or if it requires remediation.
I appreciate that teachers can override the final score of the assignment. However, it would be much more effective if teachers were able to manually override the scores for individual assessment items. This would allow us to provide much more effective feedback to students.
