PINNED Grade handwritten student work online
Teachers would like to have an AI-based tool that auto-grades student handwritten work like math homework and handwritten essays. This could be done by the student submitting photos of their work or by the teacher scanning the documents.

    Change font

    For our students with IEPs and 504s, it would be great to be able to change the font size of the print copies and online copies.

    Allow students to write in Spanish on a performance task.

    My students are bilingual learners and on performance tasks it grades them 1/4 if they use Spanish even though that is what is expected of them. This worries me for ELL learners who have to write using both languages until they are fluent.

    Drag and Drop Lesson plans

    Drag items from the list of resources or lessons and drop them into a blank page to create a lesson plan for each day.

    Separate questions by part at the Kindergarten level

    When a question has multiple parts, it would be much easier for the student to select answers easier if they were separated. Part A as a single question and part B as a separate question.

    We need a personal item bank for the assessment items we create so they can be reused when customizing a Savvas Program Assessment.

    The inability to reuse items across different assessments is a major flaw. We are forced to redundantly recreate previously developed items, which defeats the fundamental purpose of developing and saving them.

    Customize tests by uploading an entire doc rather than revising individual questions, then selecting the correct answer for automated grading.

    Students should be able to copy from texts and paste to an external document.

    When students are working on an essay or writing assignment on a separate document (such as a google doc), they should be able to copy a quote from the SAVVAS texts and paste it into their document.

    Make the boxes for students' typed responses larger

    The size of the box makes it seem like an acceptable answer should fit within it, yet students must write much more than the space provided. I understand there is a scroll bar, but the small box is makes students assume their answer can be short.
